This course will provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to lead schools and other types of educational institutions. Specifically, the course is intended to introduce school administrators to the theories and principles of educational leadership. The emphasis of the course will be on providing competencies to operate as leaders in a collegial, cooperative and mentoring model. The administrators’ knowledge in the age of change, transformation and uncertainties has to be a complex array of theories, ideologies, skills, ethical principles, paradigms and practices which are applied to a diverse set of issues in educational leadership.
