This course will focus on the crucial issues related to the management of the organization’s compensation system. The compensation system is an important aspect of the overall management of human resources in an organization. The quality of compensation will determine whether or not the organization is able to attract and retain the best people. Once persons have been recruited, the quality of their compensation is a key determinant of how well they perform. The idea of strategic compensation management suggests that compensation systems should be designed in such a way that they support the overall strategic objectives of an organization. In this course students will learn to apply tools for decision-making as well as how to design and implement compensation strategies that can achieve value-added results.Â
