This course introduces students to the unique challenges and responsibilities associated with the care and management of archival records with sound and visual dimensions. It will provide the knowledge and skills necessary to develop comprehensive programmes for managing, preserving and providing access to audio visual recordings. Trends and special issues impacting on the management and preservation of audio visual materials in the Caribbean and in similar contexts will be discussed and explored.
