The course guides you through the interesting and varied world of literature for young people by introducing you to the different genres and their particular features along with the appropriate criteria for their evaluation, selection and use. At the same time, you will learn how to match young people with the right type of literature based on their developmental stages, psychological needs, reading abilities, social context and culture. You will also broaden your knowledge of Caribbean literature for young people.
