This course provides an overview of the determination and natural progression of disease; the scientific investigation of disease phenomena along the health-illness continuum; and the impact of disease on individuals, families, and communities.
The course enables the student to think critically. As well, the course applies evidence-based practice, addresses ethical and policy issues, and explores strategies for problem solving.
