The course is essentially a forum for enhancing the media literacy of those who will be integral to the process of either managing or directing the production and performance of media and communication – especially as it relates to all types of content.

Students will be exposed to the models of communication and how these have evolved from the traditional orientation of mass media to the nature of contemporary all-media. The individual, sociological, and alternative perspectives of media creation and function as well as the political, ethical and gender issues which arise will also be covered.
