The course content provides the knowledge base necessary to prepare students for clinical practice and the performance of standard and supplementary imaging procedures. The course seeks to develop higher order critical thinking skills in students in preparation for optimum performance in the clinical setting, and spans general radiographic positioning terminology, indications for conducting radiographic positioning procedures, request evaluation, patient preparation and care, positioning techniques, equipment and accessories,radiographic exposure techniques, radiation protection, and image critique and evaluation.
