This course builds upon the introductory content that was presented in Net Centric Computing with an emphasis on computer networking, and covers the fundamental concepts underlying computer networks and the Internet. These concepts are examined from the viewpoints of the application, transport, network, and link and physical layers. This course also surveys the design trade-offs inherent in various communications protocols implemented at different networking layers.
