The museums and artifacts portion of the course will cover the theory and practice related to the collection and curation of artifacts, the managements of museums, and the display of artifacts. For the archives section students will learn the theory and practice of the creation, management, preservation, and use of archives in general, with specific reference to the Caribbean.

Students will attend one class of three hours duration per week. The course is taught in two parts: ‘Artifacts and Museums’ with Dr. Lenik and ‘Archives’ with Mr. Aarons. Classes will be of a seminar nature involving lectures and presentations. Compulsory visits to museums, historic institutions, and archives will be arranged.
