The course provides the rudimentary principles and practice of statistics with emphasis on practical data collection, presentation and interpretation and the use of statistical software to analyse data.
Inferential Statistics (Statistical Inference) is the linkage between Probability Theory and Data Analysis. In this course we will be looking at the three main types of inference: point estimation, interval estimation and hypothesis testing. Also, we will be taking a fundamental approach to estimation and quantifying the accuracy of estimates.
