This course examines the role of the major financial institutions in the financial system. It also highlights the basic principles of financial management of individual financial institutions.

This course deals with the evolving role of government in a democratic society. The aim is to introduce students to a number of key topics in public finance which are classified to be either normative or positive such as welfare economics, externalities, public goods and taxation.

This course examines the role that commercial banks perform in an economy and highlights the basic principles of commercial bank management.
