Systems Analysis and Design

MGMT3012 (MS31C) is designed to explore the concepts and techniques of systems analysis and design from both a theoretical and applied perspective. The course introduces students to the role of the systems analyst and how to manage a systems project using special software tools. The course also emphasizes the use of systematic and structured methodologies for performing information requirements analysis and covers the analysis process and essentials of system design. Using the methods and techniques discussed in class students will practice the tools of the systems analysis and design trade in a real-life setting, following through on a single system development project for an existing organization.
