It has come to our attention that rumours are circulating amongst the student population that Blackboard recordings are deleted after a certain time. This is most unfortunate as the recordings are currently not deleted. If a retention policy is to be implemented we will be sure to inform all stakeholders with sufficient time so that the necessary management plans can be implemented if needed.
Blackboard recordings are not deleted and are available for asynchronous study and review. Depending on the number of lectures/sessions already delivered in a course, one may only see the most recent lectures on the first page. Once on the Recordings page the student can choose the 'Filter by' parameter at the top right of the page to see 'Recent Recordings' or 'Recordings in a Range' to narrow down the list of ALL recordings based on the date of the recording.

To be able to download recordings the lecturer or moderator would have had to enabled the option to download recordings. If you are unable to download your recording as a student, please consult your lecturer.
